I also like Daisy, as she can be clever sometimes and can always wrap someone around her little finger.Īs I am not too keen on the gruesome murder books, this book really did hit the spot for me. Hazel is a good character because she comes from Hong Kong and is not really as popular as anyone else, because in this time, it seems as if it was wrong to come from another country. My favourite character has got to be Hazel because she is very smart and intelligent even if Daisy is bossy and domineering. There are surely more secrets at Deepdean School than there seems.

Who is on the suspect list? How has this happened? Follow the adventures of these two girls and delve deep to find the evidence. Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong have a mystery to solve (a proper one this time). It's 1934 and at Deepdean School, something most horrific has happened. It is a real gem and will leave you on the edge of your seat. It is a spectacular read and I am not surprised it being in the Doncaster Book Awards. If you like murder, mystery, friendship, and cake you should definitely read this book. It is an outstanding book and a real breath taker, that will leave you wanting the next two books. The whole plot of the book is unique and wondrous, being set in the 1930's. The author, Robin Stevens, is a true inspiration for readers. If found this book to be quite thrilling.
